Jessie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University, and has been practicing at Kachan Physiotherapy since 2013. Jessie completed her Intermediate Orthopaedic Manual Therapy exam in 2016 and her Advanced Orthopaedic Exams in 2018. Jessie has also completed GUNN Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) needling certification and enjoys being a part-time clinical lab instructor at the Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy.
Jessie is also a certified instructor in STOTT Pilates, reflecting her special interest in fitness. She actively brings this knowledge to her practice. She loves running, rock climbing, playing basketball and any other opportunity to move! Jessie is an avid traveller with a passion for adventure and hiking having travelled to base camps at Everest/Annapurna, climbed Kilimanjaro and hiked Machu Picchu.
Jessie’s philosophy of care is guided by her belief that an individualized goal-centered approach is necessary to resolve movement dysfunctions. Empowering patients, by giving them the resources for ongoing management, is vital for prevention of recurrence of injuries.
