Ainslee McCann PT

Ainslee

Ainslee McCann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. Alongside her training in Canada, Ainslee’s also completed clinical experience at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Ainslee has been practicing at Kachan Physiotherapy since her graduation in 2011. She has a special interest in manual therapy. Ainslee completed her Intermediate Orthopaedic Manual Therapy exam in 2015 and her Advanced Orthopaedic Exam in 2016. Ainslee has also completed Functional Dry Needling certification.

Ainslee has completed post graduate certification in pelvic health and is providing pelvic floor physiotherapy to our patients. She is licensed to treat patients internally. Ainslee is available to assess and treat a number of conditions including incontinence, pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and prenatal and postpartum issues.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ainslee was the student therapist for the women’s varsity volleyball team during her time at St. FX. Her love of running, yoga, hiking and strength training has shaped her approach to treating patients with movement disorders. Ainslee has also developed special interest in the women’s health, geriatrics, and the treatment of dancers. Ainslee’s approach to patient care is guided by educating patients about their condition, and developing goal-oriented treatment plans that keep her patients active. Ainslee is a travel buff, loves to read, work out and take in a good movie.
