Jessie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University, and has been practicing at Kachan Physiotherapy since 2013. Jessie completed both her Intermediate Orthopaedic Manual Therapy exam and her Advanced Orthopaedic Exams to obtain her FCAMPT accreditation in 2018. Jessie has also completed GUNN Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) needling certification and is a GLA:D certified instructor. She has served on the Board of Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association and enjoys being a part-time clinical lab instructor at the Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy.

Jessie is a certified instructor in STOTT Pilates, reflecting her special interest in fitness. She actively brings this knowledge to her practice. She loves running, rock climbing and any other opportunity to move!

Jessie is an avid traveler with a passion for adventure and hiking having traveled to base camps at Everest/Annapurna, climbed Kilimanjaro and hiked Machu Picchu.

Jessie’s philosophy of care is guided by her belief that an individualized goal-centered approach is necessary to resolve movement dysfunctions. Empowering patients, by giving them the resources for ongoing management, is vital for prevention of recurrence of injuries.
