Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University graduating in 2022. During his time at Dalhousie, Ben volunteered as an athletic trainer with both the varsity soccer and track and field teams. He also spent 6 months studying in Australia. Upon completing his Master of Science in Physiotherapy, Ben was awarded the Research Excellence Award.
Ben has started post graduate training with the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal system. His philosophy is that a combination of evidence-based interventions paired with identification of patient goals to guide treatment plan will result in a successful patient outcome. He enjoys working with all different patient populations to support their participation in meaningful activities.
Ben is originally from the Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and moved to Nova Scotia at a young age. He was a competitive gymnast for 10 years competing at several Canadian National championships, the 2015 Canada Winter Games, and elite level competitions in Canada. Ben also coached gymnastics for several years. Through sport, Ben developed a special interest in working with athletes which motivated him to pursue a career as a Physiotherapist.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys strength training, hiking, and travelling. He also sits on the executive board of the Nova Scotia Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
